San Pancrazio and Castello tour
The Saint Lorenzo and Pancrazio al Buoncammino Church is a little treasure of Romanesque architecture: it keeps the two barrel vaulted naves intact and it is one of the few churches with two naves in Sardinia, and also one of the most ancient churches in Cagliari. The church is located on the Buoncammino hill, not far from the Pisan tower to which gives its name, the San Pancrazio Tower. The tower rises on the highest part of the Medieval city, Castel di Castro, which today we call quarter of Castello. The tour starts from the visit inside the church and it continues towards the quarter of Castello, exploring the narrow streets of the fortified city to admire its walls, the towers and the cathedral.
