Home made panada

Sa Panada is a typical dish from Assemini, a town not far from Valentina’s village, Decimoputzu. For centuries, this dish has been cooked by all families in Assemini and in nearby towns. Valentina’s father testifies us that, during festivities, his grandfather was used to go fishing in the river, catching eels to cook Sa Panada. This traditional dish is a sort of savory pie, which you can filled with eels, or lamb, and potatoes; it is always seasoned with garlic, parsley and dried tomatoes. There are also some “revisited” panadas filled with other, non traditional, ingredients, or fried panadine, identical to the traditional ones in shape but smaller and usually prepared during parties. Throughout this show cooking you will bake your panade, which can be eaten immediately or taken away. Valentina’s father will guide you throughout the experience.
